I Dertotentanz nascono come idea a gennaio 2008  dall’incontro  di Vincenzo e Renato di ritorno dopo un’esperienza quinquennale in Irlanda, e due amici di quest’ultimo, Emiliano e Ilaria  a Roma.

L’idea alla base era quella di fare Stoner rock sullo stile di Kyuss, Orange Goblin etc. ma gia’ dai primi accordi viene fuori una direzione piu’ libera.

Infatti nel corso dei mesi successivi, che non hanno mai visto crisi di creativita’,  il gruppo scrive e perfeziona ben nove pezzi che difficilmente lasciano all’ascoltatore la possibilita’ di definire con sicurezza influenze e fonti di ispirazione..

Del resto pur essendo i membri della band tutti orientati verso il rock ognuno porta variazioni dovute a gusti prettamente personali.

A Giugno 2008 prima uscita in pubblico con un buon successo e un’iniezione di entusiasmo importante per continuare il processo creativo.

Da allora ad oggi qualche altra uscita live e, nell’ultimo periodo, la registrazione in presa diretta di tutto il repertorio di 9 pezzi ad oggi finiti ed altri in lavorazione

Der Totentanz band formed in Rome, Italy in january 2008. The band's line-up incluedes Vincenzo lead guitar), Renato (drums), Emiliano (Bass) and Ilaria Tursi (lead vocals). The stylistic variety in Der Totentanz's music is rather difficult to describe even for us...!

The basic idea was to follow the style of Stoner rock Kyuss, Orange Goblin, etc.. but already from the first chords comes out something different, more free.

In fact in the following months, they have never seen the crisis of their creativity, the group writes and refines nine pieces which leave the listener the opportunity to establish, with no certainty influences and sources of inspiration ..

Moreover, although the band members all oriented towards the rock, each of them brings variations due to purely personal taste.

In June 2008 they first play in public with a good success and an injection of enthusiasm to continue  the creative process.

Since then some other output live and, ultimately, in direct recording of the entire repertoire of 9 pieces now finished and others in production.
